Objective: The purpose of this study was to identify the weight of each of the courses of academic record and scoring based on the psychometric approaches of factor analysis and the continuous IRT model and the approaches based on the viewpoint of the experts of Topsis and AHP, as well as the comparison of the effect of the weighting model on variance and the predictive validity of the scores. Methodology: The method of this study was a mixed research method. In order to conduct research in the first part, 11 items (courses) of academic background were taken from the expert group and weighed and prioritized using Topsis and AHP techniques. In the second section, the final third year high school grades of volunteers and admitted students of psychology and counseling at universities across the country were received from the Sanjesh Organization for estimating standard weights in the form of factor analysis and calculating Theta. In the third section, in order to compare different weighing and scoring models, the sample group was firstly scored based on scores derived from all four approaches, and compared in terms of dispersion indexes and predictive validity. Results: The results of the comparison of the four approaches showed that the most variance is related to the IRT continuous modeling method. Also, the results of the data analysis showed that the scores obtained from the continuous IRT model had the highest correlation with the university's average score and the psychology score of the Konkoor. Conclusion: The comparison of the frequency distribution of the score-ability in the framework of all four approaches indicates that the abundance distribution in the IRT encompasses a wider range of abilities and more variance, and also results in higher predictive validity Has enjoyed. Based on this, it seems that with enough information, the test scoring framework can be changed to the theta scores that have a higher predictive validity and higher detection capability.

The general aim of the present research was to develop a model for predicting academic performance based on emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills and achievement motivation with the Mediation of Learning Strategies (Cognitive and Metacognitive) in students of smart and ordinary schools. The research method was correlational with a prediction type. The population in the current research included all the secondary school students of Tehran, among which 583 students were selected for the study sample through multi-stage cluster sampling method. For gathering the data, Hermans achievement motivation questionnaire (1970), Social Problem Solving Inventory-Revised Short Form (SPS-R: SF), Learning Strategies Questionnaire (Karami et al, 2002), Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory (2000) and Academic Performance Questionnaire of Dortaj (2004) were used. Findings suggested that the direct and indirect effect of emotional intelligence and achievement motivation on academic performance of students of smart schools is significantly higher than its effect on the academic performance of students of ordinary schools. No significant difference was observed between the direct and indirect effect of problem solving skills on academic performance of students of smart and ordinary schools. Findings of the present research had useful implications for policy makers in the education area.

The purpose of the current study was to determine the effectiveness of the educational package based on mind mapping multimedia software, on the cognitive skills of science lesson of female students of eighth grade. The methodology of research was experimental, with pretest-posttest and control. The population of the study was 8th grade girl students of Kerman schools selected by multistage cluster sampling and randomly divided into two groups (20 people in experimental group and 20 people in control group). In pre-test and post-test, all subjects were evaluated by using a researcher-made test of cognitive skills in the science course, including 60 multiple-choice questions and 10 essay questions. The experimental group received the educational program in 10 sessions. Data were analyzed using covariance analysis. The results of this study show that the students have been trained by educational package based on mind mapping multimedia software, obtained the higher score in total cognitive skills as well as all level of cognitive skills specially in skills such as remember, understand, apply and analysis. Also, according to the results of this study, it is suggested that the mind maps are used as a tool to activate students' previous learning and connecting the concepts of the courses, in order to understand more about education and teaching materials.

Concerns have been made about the personality characterize indices after the appearance of personality tests. In this regard, the aim of the present study was to compare the relationship between personality traits and social desirability in students with honest and faking responses. The present study was a causal-comparative study in which 235 students completed the research questionnaire. Subjects were randomly assigned into two groups: honest and faking. To collect the data in this study, NEO's personality questionnaire (1992) and social desirability scale by Crown and Marlow (1960) were used. The findings showed that there is a relationship between personality dimensions and social desirability, and this relationship is not meaningful between the two groups. Therefore, we can say that we must propose methods for controlling the probabilistic effect of social desirability in studies with a five-factor personality model.

The current research was carried out to evaluate the mediating role of self-esteem in the relationship between social capital and academic hope of elite athlete students. For this purpose, structural equation analysis method was used. The population of research included all elite athlete students, who could win the medal in National Students Sports Olympiads held in Iran during the years 2012 to 2016. Among them, 349 elite athletes were selected using proportional stratified sampling method. To measure the variables, Mobaraki Social Capital Questionnaire (2005), Rosenberg Self-esteem Questionnaire (1965), and Sohrabi and Samani Academic Hope Scale (2011) were used. Findings revealed that among the social capital components, the components of social participation, social support, and social cohesion directly increased the academic hope. Investigating the indirect effects revealed that two components of social support and mutual relations enhanced the academic hope through increasing the self-esteem. Calculating the fit indices revealed that the research model had good fit with data. Finally, results of research were discussed in light of the research literature and theoretical and applied implications of the results were provided.

This research was conducted with the aim of educational variables in academic achievement of postgraduate students of faculty of psychology and educational sciences. This research is applied in terms of its purpose and in terms of the causal-comparative method and in terms of the general approach. Based on the variables of the selection method (teaching and research-based) and the research bachelor (related and non-related), there are two groups based on the periods of study (daily, night and half-day) and the academic term (first, second and third). The statistical statistic of this research was all students of postgraduate, post-nursing and seminary courses in the fields of psychology and counseling of Allameh Tabataba’i University who were studying in the academic year of 90-89. To describe the descriptive, mean, standard deviation and standard line of independent estimation and one way analysis of variance, t-mean was used for descriptive indexes. According to research hypotheses, the role of educational variables in the academic achievement of postgraduate students of faculty of psychology and education used. The results showed that although there was no significant difference in academic achievement of students in day, night and semi-day courses, the average of academic performance of masters students was higher than that of nursing students and nursing students, and semantic academic performance was higher than nocturnal.
